Kenya Ni Home exists to provide timely, useful and responsible journalism about Kenya, its counties, East Africa and the wider world. We pursue accuracy, fairness, public interest, independence and respect for human dignity.
Standards
We seek reliable primary sources, corroboration and meaningful context. We distinguish verified reporting from opinion, analysis, satire, advertising and sponsored content. Headlines and images must fairly reflect the substance of the story. We avoid plagiarism, fabricated material, deceptive editing, undisclosed conflicts of interest and unnecessary intrusion into private life.
We give people and organisations facing serious allegations a fair opportunity to respond where practical. We take special care with children, vulnerable people, victims of trauma, graphic imagery, hate speech, elections, crime reporting and unverified social-media claims. We do not publish information that unnecessarily endangers a source or individual.
Independence, corrections and transparency
Editorial decisions are not for sale. Advertisements, partnerships and sponsored material must be clearly labelled and must not control independent reporting. Contributors must disclose relevant conflicts. Errors are corrected promptly and transparently: email newsroom@kenyanihome.com with the article URL, the disputed statement, supporting evidence and your contact details. Significant corrections may be noted on the article; updates are not an admission of legal liability.
Opinion contributors are responsible for their views, which may not represent Kenya Ni Home. We may edit submissions for clarity, length, fairness, legal risk and style, or decline them. News tips are not automatically confidential; contact us first if you require a protected arrangement.
